Woman killed in 101 Freeway Multi-Vehicle Collision

Los Angeles - A 50-year-old woman was killed in a multi-vehicle crash that occurred on southbound Hollywood (101) Freeway in Universal City.

According to California Highway Patrol (CHP) Officer Alex Gonzales, the woman was confirmed dead at the scene of the crash. Her name was withheld, pending notification from her family.

Los Angeles firefighters also treated several other motorists. The injuries they sustained seemed to be minor.

All southbound lanes close to the area were closed due to the incident, reported by CHP.

Investigation regarding the circumstances of the collision is still ongoing.
