Two-Truck Collision kills one
June 05, 2009
Pacific Palisades – The northbound Pacific Coast highway was shut down Friday when two tucks collided resulting to one man being killed and two of his relatives injured.
Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Melissa Kelley revealed that the accident occurred shortly before 7 p.m. on the Pacific Coast Highway, a half mile south of Temescal Canyon.
Kelley added that the man who died was driving a box truck that was following a stake truck. The box truck rear ended the stake truck when it slowed down due to traffic. The impact crushed the cabin, killing the driver.
Kelley also confirmed that the other two people who were injured were relatives of the man who was killed. They were seated in the front of the truck when the accident happened and their injuries were minor.
The accident caused a major mile-long traffic on the northbound road of the Pacific Coast Highway.
