CAR CRASH: Sleepy Driver Flips Car in Dana Point

Dana Point – A woman sustained minor injuries when her car overturned after she fell asleep while driving north of Camino Estrella Thursday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.

Reports indicate that the woman fell asleep on a Toyota Corolla while driving on the leftmost lane heading north on Interstate 5. She reportedly woke up to see the vehicles in front of her were slowing down. She then tried avoid a collision by swerving but instead hit a wall causing her vehicle to overturn.

No other injuries were reported in the accident.
