SUV Rollover: SUV rollover leaves one dead

Albany – A sport utility vehicle traveling west along Interstate Highway 80 Saturday morning rolled over and left one person dead.
The accident reportedly occurred around 2 a.m. when the driver of Ford SUV lost control at Buchanan Avenue, near the Golden Gate horse track.
CHP Officer Sam Morgan said that the SUV toppled and came to rest on its wheels. A Dodge Caravan, that was also traveling west at 65 mph, then hit the SUV when it came around a left turn.
Alameda County Coroner has identified the Ford SUV driver who is a 30-year-old Oakland native. He was pronounced dead at the scene, but his relatives are yet to be notified.
Meanwhile, the 50-year-old driver of the Dodge who is also from Oakland was not injured. Whether alcohol was a reason for the crash is still being investigated.
