SUV and Big Rig Truck Crash Injures Three People

Los Alamitos – A multiple vehicle crash has left three people trapped and injured at an intersection on Katella Avenue and Los Alamitos Boulevard.
The collision, which happened around eight o’clock in the morning, involved as many as three vehicles including a big rig truck and a white Toyota RAV 4. The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) rescuers were called to the scene of the accident to help victims trapped inside the Toyota.
The occupants of the SUV which included a child, when extricated were reportedly injured. According to OCFA Captain Greg McKeown, one woman was listed in a critical condition while another woman was in a serious condition. The child merely had minor injuries.
The driver of the big rig truck who was at the scene, was reported to be uninjured. The victims were taken to the Long Beach Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The accident has caused the south and westbound traffic to be closed at the intersection.
