SIG Alert Declared Due to Rollover Accident on Toll Road

Orange County, L.A. - A SIG alert, which lasted for an hour, was declared by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) due to a fatal rollover crash that occurred along the northbound side of the 241 toll road at Santiago Canyon Road.
According to Officer Gabe Montoya of the CHP, a white Honda caught fire after it rolled over for numerous times and landed on the road’s middle median.
The male driver, who was partly ejected from his vehicle, was announced dead at the scene of the accident, said Ofc. Rick Lozano.
Rescue and fire crews who responded to the scene found the car blocking the No. 1 lane.
A SIG alert was declared to give accident investigators a chance to survey the area. According to Lorenzo, the cause of the accident is being investigated and the driver’s identity was not released due to pending family notification.
