Pedestrian killed in Metrolink Accident

Covina – A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a Metrolink Train Wednesday, the rail service said.
The accident happened at about 5:30 p.m. when a man was struck by Train 324 near Azusa Avenue south of Cypress Street.
The man was pronounced dead on arrival by the Los Angeles County paramedics.
The identity and age of the man remains unknown as police waited for officials from the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner to respond.
The train accident prompted long delays for commuters as other trains backed up to let investigators probe the scene.
The cause of the accident is still unclear.
