DUI-Related Car Crash: Former Bell City Executive Sentenced after Pleading Guilty to DUI
Westminster - Former Bell City Manager Robert Rizzo was sentenced to ten days of community service and nine months of alcohol awareness program after pleading guilty to driving under the influence (DUI) charges.
Reports said Rizzo entered a guilty plea five months after he crashed his vehicle into the mailbox of his neighbor in Huntington Beach.
The former public official had 0.28 blood alcohol content when he was arrested in March. He was unsteady during a field sobriety test so authorities were forced to stop him from completing it for his own safety.
Rizzo was forced to resign from his job last month after his high salary triggered a scandal, said reports.
