Eastbound 210 Freeway Collision under Investigation

Pasadena – Authorities have begun investigations into the cause of the two-vehicle collision that occurred on Eastbound Foothill (210) Freeway in Pasadena which seriously injured four people Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the accident was reported at about 5:40 am at Lake Avenue.
All four victims were transported - one of them via a helicopter – for hospital treatment, said Lisa Derderian of the Pasadena Fire Department.
According to the state Department of Transportation data, thousands of people are injured in freeway-related accidents each year, resulting in serious injuries and death to most accident victims. Freeway accidents are common in California, the third most populous state in the US, which has numerous interstate highways and roads connecting to other states.
