VEHICLE ACCIDENT: Culprit in Hit and run Accident in Highway 17 at Large

Los Gatos – Authorities are still looking for the unidentified driver responsible for the hit and run accident that occurred at Highway 17 during the weekend and left several people injured.

Witnesses described the man as Hispanic and about 5-foot 8-inches, who fled on foot after the incident.

The man, who used a stolen Honda Civic, slammed into two cars near a restaurant north of Bear Creek road. According to police, the vehicle was stolen in Union City and was involved in another hit-and-run collision.

Police tried to follow the man after the first incident but lost him after the collision. The man was believed to be injured.
