Crash Caused by Fighting Couple; Kids Inside

Tulare – A couple was arrested on various charges after their vehicle, with their kids inside, hit a tree near Highway 198 Monday while they were fighting, authorities said.

The couple, who were both aged 32, was travelling along Spruce Road with their two young children in their vehicle when they got into an argument and, eventually, hit a tree.

Reports indicate that the woman suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital while her husband quickly took off with the children after the crash. He was later found and arrested for parole violation and other charges.

In the possession of the woman were methamphetamine, narcotics paraphernalia, and hypodermic needles. She was charged for the offense.

Adding to their separate charges, the couple also faces child endangerment and domestic violence charges.

Other information regarding the children was not released.
