PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT: Covina Elderly Hit, Killed in Crosswalk

Covina – A 56-year old woman was killed after she was hit by a vehicle in a Covina crosswalk early Sunday afternoon, reports said.

The Covina woman, identified as Annie Tomassacci, was heading east and crossing Grandview Avenue at around 2 pm when she was hit by a Hyundai Sonata that was heading south along Grandview Avenue.

The driver of the vehicle, 22-year-old Teresa Puente, was questioned by authorities but wasn’t cited or charged at the scene.

Badillo Street was closed down for about three hours as authorities investigate other factors that may have caused the crash.
