52-Year-Old Man Crashed SUV at a Strip Mall

Whittier – A 52-year-old driver sustained minor injuries after he crashed his SUV to two vehicles and backed into a building yesterday, authorities said.
According to a CHP official, they received a report about a crash at a strip mall on Painter Avenue and Mulberry Drive at about 6:15 p.m.
The SUV was said to have been backing up so fast that he hit a parked truck and car before crashing into the building.
There were no people inside the parked vehicles when the crash happened.
The part of the building that was hit was described as an elevator equipment storage room.
Los Angeles Coty Fire Department officials said that they had to pull the man out of the SUV. He was taken to a local hospital as firefighters were not sure if the man had a seizure or a stroke.
CHP is still investigating all possible causes of the car accident including the medical condition of the driver.
